About Safer Internet Day

  

 Safer Internet Day is celebrated in February every year. For the first time it was held in 2004. This year we're celebrating on February 8.

Its propose is to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology.

We should use technology creatively but also responsibly. Nowadays you can use modern technology, for example, to play games, connect friends, buy and sell things, check social media or study. If you use the internet you mustn't forget about these rules:

1.   Don't provide your personal date online!

If you make your personal date publicity available, someone may use it against you.

2.   Don't get in touch with strangers!

We don't know the stranger's intentions toward us, so we should be careful.

3.   Only  use secure web portals!

When you decided to enter in an insecure web you should be very careful because the device from which you access the site can be hacked.
