Happy St Valentine’s Day!!!

   

    February 14 is known as St Valentine’s Day. February 14 is the best day to confess someone our feelings. St Valentine's Day is also becoming more and more popular in Poland. We celebrate since  the 90s of the 20th century. 

It is mainly observed by young people who on that day give symbolic gifts to people they love.

The contents of Valentines are usually poems or declarations  of love.

                  

  "Roses are red, violets are blue, grass is green and I love you”

    ’’If I were a cabbage I’d split myself in two,

             I’d give the leaves to anyone,

            but the heart I’d give to you’’

Flowers and sweets are often given on that day. They also send special greeting cards called Valentines. Especially the young seem to enjoy it very much.
